Trip 2 - General Info
A shorter version of Trip 1, you start at the Outpost and paddle downstream with the current for about 3 miles or about 1 1/4 hours of paddle time. Trip 2 covers the first half of Trip 1 in the section which is more narrow and shaded. Like all our trips, It is self paced and self guided and you have the use of the boat for the entire day if you wish. Depending on water levels, there may be several shallow sand bar areas to visit if you want to get out of your boat. We hope your plans will allow you to experience the full length of Trip 1 but for those with limited time or endurance, Trip 2 is a pleasant outing and a great sampler of the Little Manatee river. We launch this trip continuously between 9:00 - 3:00 daily. This trip picks up at the concrete steps inside the state park, pictured here. Just like our other trips, we will handle the pickup of the boats, so don’t worry about bringing them up the ramp, our helpful and friendly staff have it covered! While we are happy to have you experience Trip 2, please allow for extra time and flexibility in our pickup schedule, as circumstances may dictate a wait time before we can come down in the bus for your group.
Trip Two Pricing
We charge for our trips based on the type of boat, not the number of people in that boat. All prices include all needed gear like life jackets, paddles and boat cushions, as well as shuttle service back to the Canoe Outpost, 7 days a week. Please note that prices listed do not include sales tax. Shuttle service on Trip Two is typically done on demand via phone call, so be sure to bring your cell phone with you. While this trip is shorter, our pricing is the same as Trip One as we are providing the same level of service and doing the same amount of work for either trip.
