  • What a great experience! Brian and Anita were super nice and gave us great information and instructions. Their kayaks were very nice, clean and comfortable. It is a 6 mile run to the place where you get out. We were getting tired at the end, but it was a beautiful trip filled with natural beauty. Highly recommend this canoe adventure!

  • We really enjoyed kayaking here. They have a picnic spot with bathrooms about half way down the river, about an hr and a half in, which is great if you plan on bringing a lunch. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. With the YELP check-in, we were able to rent a free dry bag which came in handy for our water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray, phones and keys. Tide is low around this year, so be sure to wear water shoes as you may need to get out and adjust your kayak off of some sand beds. We spotted a gator sunbathing, probably over 5 feet long, a few interesting birds and over 30 turtles. Overall we had a great time and we'll be back!

  • We did trip 1. It's a 6 mile kayak trip, so upper body strength and good back health is suggested. But how peaceful and beautiful. Saw Gators both tiny and big, osprey, manatee, huge turtles. I am new to the area and this will be my "go to" trip for anyone visiting.

  • Overall great place. Equipment was clean & we were given proper safety gear (life vests & cushions). Staff was very knowledgeable & explained where to go & what to expect perfectly. The area was serene & picturesque. For newbies, it was a nice workout but not impossible! We only had to go one way because they pick you up in a bus to bring you back to your car! We will definitely return & have recommended this little slice of heaven to others already!

  • It was Awesome! We saw Manatees, Aligators, Herons, Hawks and an endless variety of flowers. The creek was placid and we stopped twice to picnic and just soak up the quiet sounds of nature. The staff who launched us and picked us up were pleasant and helpful as they are every time. We usually canoe this creek 4-5 times per year and recommend it to anyone who loves the water!

  • This was the best campground I've ever been to when I wanted to go kayaking. Their facilities are all updated. Their showers are the nicest I've ever seen at a campground. Their customer service is fantastic. Even if you don't have a tent or camper they have many interesting options of cabins and campers to rent. If you're looking for a camping venue for a group in the Tampa Bay area this is the place to come. Their group camping area has a nice pavilion, a stage and a lovely campfire circle with benches. It's a small campground and their campsites are kind of narrow but getting on the river to canoe or kayak couldn't be easier. I could go on and on about this place.

  • What a fun place to spend a few days. Everyone is so helpful and sweet. My husband and I stayed in the bus... an interesting experience... and our daughter and her family stayed in the one bedroom cottage. All the travel books say to bring the kids bikes and we did.. What a great idea. The kids had such a good time. The location is perfect for us. Less then an hour from home and although the campground is wooded and gives the appearance of being rural (it kind of reminds me of upstate New York), it is five minutes from Walmart and Publix. I am so excided to be planning another weekend this time in the two bedroom cabin...

  • We recently had a 3-day camping music festival. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I have camped there previously and enjoyed the same treatment by the owners. Beautiful water to kayak or canoe on, spacious campsites. The campground is 10 minutes away from grocery stores and food/drink.I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to camp but doesn't need to go too far away.
